636.17 ABUSE OF FAMILY.

(a) No person shall abuse his family. For the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this section, it shall be lawful for the police to enter any dwelling or other structure to arrest any person violating the same.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
