167.41   RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT.
   (a)   All persons hereafter appointed to positions of employment with the City shall establish residency within Huron County, Ohio, or any County adjacent to Huron County, within six months after the time of their appointment, and shall continue to maintain their primary place of residence within Huron County, Ohio, or any County adjacent to Huron County at all times during their continued service with the City, provided, however, that a retiring employee may be exempted from this requirement for up to ninety days preceding his or her confirmed date of retirement on the condition that he or she request exemption at least thirty days in advance of his or her change of residence and abide by all other rules and regulations of employment, including, but not limited to, working hours and attendance. Any violation of any rule or regulation of employment during the period of exemption may result in immediate revocation of the exemption.
   (b)   Failure of any person to comply with this section shall be grounds for discharge.
