167.24   SEPARATIONS.
   (a)   The tenure of every employee is conditioned upon good behavior and satisfactory performance of his or her duties. Any employee may be permanently separated by resignation or dismissal.
   (b)   The resignation of any employee in order to be in good standing requires the notification of his or her immediate department or division head and through him or her the City Manager with an appropriate notice.
   (c)   Dismissals shall become effective on the date specified in the order of removal. If any employee is reinstated after dismissal through hearing by a Personnel Appeals Board and approval of the report of the Board by Council, he or she may be paid his or her regular compensation, with regular fringe benefits, for the period following removal until his or her restoration of duty.
