167.06   HOLIDAYS.
   (a)   (1)   For all employees other than police officers, police dispatchers, and firefighter/ EMT shift supervisors, there shall be ten full-day and one half- day paid legal holidays. Paid holidays shall be as follows:
         New Year's Day
         Martin Luther King, Jr., Day
         Washington-Lincoln Day (Presidents' Day)
         One-half day on Good Friday (afternoon)
         Memorial Day
         Independence Day (July 4th)
         Labor Day
         Thanksgiving Day
         The day after Thanksgiving Day
         Christmas Eve
         Christmas Day
      (2)   The union contract with the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc., shall govern police officers and dispatchers, and the collective bargaining agreement between the City and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 4468 shall govern holidays for firefighter/EMT shift supervisors.
    (b)   Holidays that fall on Saturday shall be observed on the Friday before, and holidays that fall on Sunday shall be observed on the Monday following. Holidays that fall on an employee's regular day off may be compensated for at straight time, or the employee shall be given another day off. Employees who are required to work on holidays shall be paid straight time for the holiday and time and one-half for hours worked.
   (c)   No employee shall be paid for any holiday if he or she is not paid for the last scheduled work day prior to the holiday and the next scheduled work day following the holiday.
