A Department of Parks and Recreation is hereby created in the Department of Public Works. The Department shall be under the direction of a Superintendent who shall be accountable to the City Manager. The Superintendent shall have the following duties:
(a) Exercise overall supervision of all employees reporting directly to him or her;
(b) Coordinate and approve the preparation of all work assignments and schedules;
(c) Assign individual work operations to his or her employees;
(d) Supervise the operation, maintenance and repair of all parks and recreational facilities including the Municipal swimming pool. Any routine maintenance that cannot be accomplished by the recreational personnel will be coordinated and accomplished with the help of the Superintendent of the Department of Maintenance;
(e) Enforce all traffic laws and Public Utilities Commission of Ohio regulations pertaining to personnel and equipment as required by law;
(f) Maintain accurate records of all recreational facilities of the City; and
(g) Perform any other duties assigned by the City Manager.
