A building or lot within the B-1 District may be used for only the following purposes:
(a) Hotels and motels;
(b) Gasoline or service stations;
(c) Personal services, including dry cleaners, laundry, barber shop, beauty shop, shoe repair shop, tailor and dressmaker, when in connection with a hotel or motel;
(d) Restaurants and eating places;
(e) Convenience retail stores;
(f) Automobile and recreational vehicle sales;
(g) Shopping plazas, shopping malls or shopping centers;
(h) Supermarkets and department or discount stores in excess of 10,000 square feet in area;
(i) Professional offices, provided that such services are contained within a building or group of buildings in excess of 5,000 square feet in area;
(j) Banks;
(k) Assembly halls for social activities;
(l) Recreational and entertainment facilities;
(m) Wholesale facilities exceeding 10,000 square feet in area;
(n) Public and semipublic uses; and
(o) Billboards, provided that no billboard shall be placed within 500 feet of an existing billboard.
