(A) This subchapter is hereby created in pursuance of authority conferred in the G.S. and particularly G.S. Article 6 of Ch. 153A, and for the purpose of promoting the public health, safety, general welfare and the protection of persons and property in the Town of Wilkesboro and for the protection in the area of the watershed of the Town of Wilkesboro from the harmful effects of pollution, contamination, radiation or the threat thereof.
(B) This subchapter shall be known and may be cited as the Wilkesboro Watershed Control Ordinance.
