§ 30.21 TOWN CLERK.
   In addition to the powers and duties specified for the Town Clerk in the Town Charter and the General Statutes of North Carolina, the Town Clerk shall receive all communications addressed to or requiring action by the Board of Commissioners and all claims against the town, and he or she shall have other powers and perform other duties as may be specified for him or her from time to time by ordinance or resolution of the Board of Commissioners not in conflict with the charter or general laws or this code.
