§ 30.20 MAYOR.
   The Mayor shall be recognized as the official head of the town government. In addition to the powers and duties specified for the Mayor in the Town Charter and the General Statutes of North Carolina, the Mayor shall have other powers and perform other duties as may be specified for him or her from time to time by ordinance or resolution of the Board of Commissioners not in conflict with the charter or general laws or this code.
