(A) The town shall sell burial rights in cemetery lots in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and the schedule of fees adopted and revised from time to time by the Board of Commissioners, a copy of which schedule shall be maintained in the office of the Town Clerk.
(B) A surveying and locating fee of $100 must be paid in full at the time of internment.
(C) A deed or certificate of burial right shall be issued to the person who purchases a burial right. The deed or certificate shall identify the purchaser and the specific lot or lots to which the deed or certificate applies.
(D) A discounted rate of 20% shall be applied to the purchase of burial rights for any citizen of the Town of Wilkesboro.
(E) Proof of purchase shall be required prior to any burial. Proper proof shall be a copy of the deed issued by the town.
(F) Effective with the adoption of this chapter the town shall record all newly issued deeds for cemetery lots. The recording fee shall be noted in the town’s schedule of fees and paid prior to the issuance of the deed.
