§ 71.01 PROCEDURE UPON APPROACH OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE.
   Upon the approach of an authorized emergency vehicle giving audible signal, the driver of any other vehicle shall immediately drive to a position as near as possible, to and parallel with the right-hand edge of the roadway, clear of any intersection, and shall stop and remain stopped until the authorized emergency vehicle shall have passed, except as he or she may be directed otherwise by a police officer; but upon a 1-way street, drivers may stop at either the left-hand or right-hand edge of the roadway.
