§ 97.01 IDENTIFYING NUMBERS TO BE POSTED.
   For the convenience of emergency or government officials carrying out their duties, public safety and health require identifying numbers to be posted on all buildings. Therefore, all property owners, or residents, users or occupiers of houses or tenements within the city shall post on the front of the building or tenement or a pole identifying numbers conforming to the street address. The numbers shall be painted or affixed on some waterproof substance, contrasting in color to the background where affixed, of a minimum size of three inches and sufficient to be readily visible from the street fronting the house or tenement. The numbers shall be plain figures and be located within 20 feet of the street.
