155.02 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
   (a)    The Engineer shall prepare preliminary plans, profiles, cost estimates, property assessments, contract plans, proposals and all necessary data for all public improvements and shall direct and supervise the execution of all such public improvements.
   (b)    The Engineer shall be held responsible to Council for the faithful execution of all work undertaken by Council pursuant to approved plans and specifications for the same.
   (c)    The Engineer will furnish to Council copies of all plans and specifications of all necessary improvements for its information and guidance and will likewise furnish such plans and specifications for the information and guidance of contractors.
   The original drawings, plans and specifications made shall become the property of the City, and shall be placed on file at City Hall.
   (d)    The Engineer will make and deliver to Council the reports of the progress of improvements under his charge, stating the condition of the same, together with any other matters of interest when required by the Mayor or Council.
   (e)    The Engineer shall render his services as Engineer to any department of the City or to any official acting in his official capacity on the call of such department or official.
   (f)    The Engineer shall attend meetings of Council when requested by the Mayor or Council.
   (g)    The Engineer shall regularly and daily inspect all work during its progress and perform all other services as are customarily performed by engineers employed in the same capacity. The Engineer shall advise the City of the necessity or desirability of employing inspectors for the supervision of any projects undertaken by the City.
