1165.08 VIOLATIONS.
   (a)    If the owner, lessee, agent or other person in charge of any building upon a street to which street numbers of buildings have been assigned by the Mayor, fails to display the proper number of the building, the Mayor shall forthwith serve the person with a written notice advising the house number assigned to the building and directing the person to affix the number to the building. If, in thirty days after such service the owner, lessee, agent or other person in charge of the building fails or neglects to comply with the directive, he shall be in violation of this section. Each day that the person fails to comply with the directive, shall constitute a separate offense.
   (b)    No person shall remove or deface any street name or house number put up in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. No person shall retain any number on his house or make use of any number other than that provided for herein; nor shall any owner, agent or occupant of any property refuse or neglect to number such property pursuant to the terms hereof.
