The purposes of the Wickliffe Sign Ordinance are to promote the general health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City by organizing and consolidating the existing sign regulations; incorporating new standards, and refining existing standards as necessary; providing review procedures which enable the City to comprehensively evaluate the appropriateness of the sign to the site, building and surroundings; assuring that signs are located and designed to maintain a safe and orderly pedestrian and vehicular environment; assuring that signs are consistent with the community's development objectives, thereby maintaining the community's development objectives, and providing a mechanism for the eventual removal of signs not complying with this chapter.
