The provisions of this Commercial Building Maintenance Code shall be supplementary to all other provisions of the ordinances of the City relating to the repair and maintenance of nonresidential buildings and exterior of premises. In the event of conflict between any provisions of this Code, including any rules and regulations adopted pursuant to this Code, and any provisions of the ordinances of the City including any rules and regulations adopted pursuant to such ordinances, the more restrictive provisions shall prevail.
Wherever this chapter purports to regulate structures, signs or conditions which are otherwise illegal per se due to any other duly enacted ordinances of the City, such purported regulation herein shall not be considered to contradict such other ordinance or to condone such otherwise illegal structure, sign or condition.
Sections and subsections of this Commercial Building Maintenance Code and the several parts and provisions thereof, and the holding of any such section, subsection, part or provision hereof to be unconstitutional, void or ineffective for any cause shall not affect nor render invalid any other section, subsection, part or provision thereof.
