(a) The permit fee for each public or quasi-public building such as a school, assembly hall, hospital, theater, hotel, club store, apartment, motel, warehouse, factory and any other building not hereinafter specifically mentioned, shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) to which shall be added two dollars ($2.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area in each floor to be constructed.
(b) The permit fee for an addition or alteration to a public or quasi-public building shall be:
(1) Addition increasing floor area: two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) to which shall be added two dollars ($2.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area.
(2) Alteration not increasing floor area: two hundred dollars ($200.00) to which shall be added four dollars ($4.00) for each one thousand dollars ($1,000) of estimated cost or fraction thereof of the alteration.
