The Building Commissioner shall promptly acknowledge receipt of all official communications, notices and reports and he shall annually, not later than June 1, submit a report to the Director of Public Safety covering the work of the Division of Building Engineering and Inspection, during the preceding calendar year, and his recommendations for desirable amendments to the building, plumbing and electrical ordinances, or any other code or codes relating to structures or buildings of every character, and the Zoning Ordinance of the City.
