763.23 RATES OF FARE.
   The maximum rates of fare for taxicabs or public hacks shall be as follows:
   (a)    For the first one-half mile or fraction thereof, seventy cents (70¢).
   (b)    For each succeeding one-seventh mile or fraction thereof, ten cents (10¢).
   (c)    For each taxicab employed upon an hourly rate, nine dollars ($9.00) per hour.
   (d)    For time spent waiting for customer, ten cents (10¢) for each two minute interval or fraction thereof. First three minutes waiting time at place of order, no charge.
   (e)    For deliveries there shall be a charge of twenty-five cents (25¢) in addition to normal rate for the trip.
   (f)    Taxicabs or public hacks may, upon request of passenger, accept employment whereby the fare to be charged may be computed on an hourly rental. When a public hack is so employed, the maximum fare to be charged shall not exceed nine dollars ($9.00) per hour, irrespective of the number of passengers carried, computed from the time elapsing between the time leaving the nearest station of the owner to the time of returning to the nearest station from point of dismissal.
   (g)    Any senior citizen residing in the City who has an identification card shall be given a ten percent discount.
