Any water well drilled, dug or excavated pursuant to a permit granted under this chapter must be equipped with adequate shut-off valves or control valves for the purpose of controlling the flow of water from the water well and for the protection of the City water system in the event of pollution or other hazards. Any backflow preventer must meet the requirements set forth in this chapter.
