§ 8.2.1 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CROSS-CONNECTION. A physical arrangement whereby a public water supply system is connected with another water supply system, either public or private, or with any wastewater or sewer line, in such a manner that a flow of water into the public water supply system from such other source of water, waste or sewage is possible.
   PERSON. Any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, company, association, joint stock association or body politic, and includes any trustee, receiver, assignee or other similar representative thereof.
   WATER WELL or WELL. Any digging, drilling or excavation, by hand or by the use of machinery or equipment, whereby water is obtained from under the surface of the ground to be used on or above the ground surface for any purpose. (Ord. 364, passed 9-4-2018; Ord. 369, passed 4-1-2018, § 4.10.010)
