Before any person shall engage in the business of master plumber or do or cause to be done any plumbing work in the town, the person shall furnish an approved bond in the sum as set by the Board, conditioned upon the faithful performance of duty in making connections with the sewers of the town, and to indemnify the town against loss to person or property in any manner whatsoever for any negligence or unskilled or negligent work or conduct in the installation of any plumbing or house drainage, or for any damage to the sewers, sidewalks, or streets of the town or for the use of defective or improper materials in connection therewith, and the person shall first show satisfactory evidence that he or she has complied with the provisions of G.S. §§ 87-16 et seq.
