§ 112.03 REGULATIONS OF CONVENIENCE STORES.
   (A)   Security cameras. The owner shall install security cameras of a type and number approved by the town in consultation with the Sheriff. Said cameras must be capable of producing a retrievable image on file or tape that can be made a permanent record and that can be enlarged through projection or other means. Cameras meeting the requirements of this section shall be maintained in proper working order at all times and shall be subject to periodic inspection by the Sheriff during all hours in which the convenience store is open.
   (B)   Unobstructed windows. The owner shall locate any signs posted in the windows of the convenience store so as to provide a clear and unobstructed view of the cash register and sales areas from the adjoining street.
   (C)   Sales area. The owner shall locate the sales area of the convenience store so that the employee and customer are fully visible from the street at the time of the sales transaction. The convenience store shall not use any window tinting which reduces exterior or interior viewing during the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
   (D)   Cash register amount. The owner shall not allow more than $100 cash available and readily accessible to employees of the convenience store between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
   (E)   Cash register sign. The owner shall post a conspicuous sign in the window of the convenience store which states that the cash register has $100 or less in it.
   (F)   Drop-safe. The owner shall maintain a drop-safe or time released safe at the convenience store which is bolted to the floor or weighs at least 500 pounds and which provides minimum access to cash receipts.
   (G)   Drop-safe signs. The owner shall post a conspicuous sign in the window of the convenience store which states that there is a safe at the convenience store, and it is not accessible to the employees.
   (H)   Lighting. The entire area of the parking lot utilized by customers of the convenience store must be lighted during all hours of darkness when the convenience store is open to business.
   (I)   Height markers. A convenience store must be equipped with height markers at the entrance which display measures from the floor.
   (J)   Robbery prevention course. No later than 60 days from the passage of this chapter, the owner or principal operator of a convenience store shall provide proper robbery deterrence and safety training to any and all employees who work between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Said training shall be pursuant to a program submitted to and approved by the Sheriff and shall be in conformance with applicable state laws. All new employees who work between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. shall attend said robbery prevention course within 30 days from the date they are hired.
