§ 90.21 RABIES CLINIC.
   The city shall sponsor an annual rabies clinic for the vaccination of dogs and cats and said clinic
shall be the only clinic held within the city. The said clinic is for the convenience of the citizens and shall in no way be construed as being mandatory. The city shall provide a licensed veterinarian in the corporate limits of the city for one day each year between April 1 and May 1 for the purpose of vaccinating dogs and cats for those residents who desire the services of the licensed veterinarian so engaged by the city. The cost of vaccination shall be borne by the owner of the dog or cat receiving the vaccination. One copy of the receipt of payment for vaccination of the dog or cat shall be furnished to the agent of the city at the time of the vaccination. Residents of the city who do not select to have their dog or cat vaccinated at the annual rabies clinic shall be required to furnish the agent of the city by May 1 each year, proof of vaccination for the current year, for each dog or cat.
