For the purpose of classifying buildings or structures designed for human occupancy, and for the purpose of specifying the number, size and arrangement of exits, exit ways and fire escapes, to permit, in the event of fire or other emergencies, the prompt escape of occupants from buildings or structures, the standards of the National Fire Protection Association adopted under Section 1521.01 shall be employed.
