549.08 DISCHARGING FIREARMS.
   (a)   No person shall discharge any air gun, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol or other firearm within the corporate limit of the Municipality, except as provided herein.
   (b)   No person, other than an owner or resident of a premises zoned A-2 General Agricultural, or other person with the permission of the owner or resident of the premises zoned A-2 General Agricultural, shall discharge any air gun, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol or other firearm within the corporate limit of the Municipality, except upon said premises zoned A-2 General Agricultural and in a manner that is safe or with due regard for the safety of persons or property.
   (c)   The discharge of any air gun, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol or other firearm within the corporate limit of the Municipality for the purposes of hunting upon any premises zoned A-2 General Agricultural shall be permitted by the owner, resident, or by any other person with the permission of the owner or resident of the premises, in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
   (d)   This section does not apply when firearms are used in self defense, in discharge of official duty or when otherwise legally authorized.
   (e)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
