(a) Operators of golf carts within the Village of West Unity shall comply with all state and local laws regarding the operation of Vehicles and Motor Vehicles.
(b) No Golf Cart driven on or across any public street, roadway or public property pursuant to this chapter shall be capable of being operated in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
(c) No person shall operate a Golf Cart upon any state highways within the Village of West Unity where an alternative route of legal travel utilizing non-state highway route(s) of travel is/are available.
(d) Proof of liability insurance comparable to that required for automobiles is required for the operation of Golf Carts within the Village of West Unity.
(e) Lap belts shall be properly installed and worn by all operators and passengers of Golf Carts traveling upon any public street, roadway or public property within the Village of West Unity.
(f) Operators of Golf Carts shall be responsible for ensuring all passengers are in compliance with all child safety restraint laws in effect for Vehicles and Motor Vehicles.
