1113.23 SANITARY SEWERS.
   Sanitary sewers shall be not less than eight inch inside. Sanitary sewers shall be designed with sufficient capacity to serve the area to be developed, including potential future development. Sufficient capacity shall be determined by the Village Administrator. The capacity of any existing sanitary sewers for acceptance of the increased demand shall be determined by the Village Administrator. Extension of any existing sanitary sewer(s) required by any proposed development shall be the responsibility of the Developer with approval of the Village Administrator and following the guidelines as set forth in these regulations.
   (a)   Pipe materials shall be polyvinyl chloride pipe meeting all requirements of ASTM D-3034, SDR 35 with joints meeting requirements of ASTM D-3212.
   (b)   Manholes shall be pre-cast concrete with gasketed joints meeting requirements ASTM C-443. All connecting pipes shall be fitted with neoprene rubber boots with stainless steel bands.
   (c)   Manholes shall be placed at changes in pipe slope and/or alignment, but in no case shall the spacing intervals exceed 400 lineal feet. Manholes shall be constructed with cast iron frames and covers. Covers shall be non-perforated, self-sealing and be stamped with “SANITARY”.
   (d)   Sanitary sewers shall be tested with tightness either by air testing or infiltration in accordance with Ohio EPA standards.
   (e)   Each lot or parcel shall be served by a service line of not less than 6 inch inside diameter running from the sanitary sewer to the street right-of-way or easement or record, whichever may extend further. Pipe material shall be as required in subsection (a) hereof. Service lines shall be at one percent (1%) minimum grade.
