135.03 SIDEWALK REIMBURSEMENT POLICY.
   (a)   Criteria.  
      (1)   A Village building permit must be attained.
      (2)   The Village Administrator will certify the need for the new sidewalk or replacement of the existing sidewalk per permit procedures.
      (3)   Sidewalks must comply with the specifications of the Village.
      (4)   All sidewalks shall be constructed of Portland cement concrete, to the minimum width specified in Section 1113.17 Table 1 and to a minimum depth of four inches. Sidewalks shall conform to typical sidewalk sections given in Appendix C to Title One of the Planning and Zoning Code.
      (5)   Reimbursement will only pertain to new or replacement of existing sidewalk that is parallel to the Village street.
      (6)   Village forms may be used in the replacement and new construction of sidewalks.
      (7)   Existing sidewalks must be broken up into no greater than 3 feet by 1 foot sections for town removal.
   (b)   Reimbursement.
      (1)   The Administrator or Village representative will measure and inspect the sidewalk area for width and thickness dimensions. The inspection must be done prior to the pouring of concrete.

      (2)   The Village will reimburse the current cost per linear foot, for sidewalks four inches thick by four feet wide approved by the Village Administrator.
If a driveway is present reimbursement will be at six inches thick by four feet wide up to twenty feet long approved by the Village Administrator.

      (3)   Reimbursement will be paid from Capital Outlay within the General Fund as long as finances are available.
