If a canvasser or peddler is collecting funds for future delivery of a product or service or if a canvasser or peddler represents that his product or service is warranted, the canvasser or peddler shall furnish a bond in a form satisfactory to the Mayor which bond shall guarantee the delivery of the product or service and/or the performance of any warranty. The bond shall be in an amount of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) and by its terms shall be payable to any person who has secured a judgment against the peddler or canvasser or the organization or company he represents, which judgment arises out of a claim which is the subject matter of the bond.
