(A) No person shall act, exhibit, play or perform any play, drama, comedy, opera, concert or other theatrical performance, circus, exhibit of animals or other exhibition, entertainment, show, moving picture show or amusement for which money or other reward is in any manner demanded or received without a license therefor issued by the Clerk-Treasurer.
(B) No license shall be required for entertainment given by any public or private school, lectures or historical, literary or scientific subject, or concerts, fairs, exhibitions of paintings or statuary given or made by residents of the town for benevolent, religious or charitable purposes.
