If animal is sick or diseased owner has the responsibility to provide care as necessary to prevent suffering. Owners may be given 12 hours’ notice to provide veterinary care for a sick or injured animal before being cited by the town. Any animal observed to be in immediate danger may be removed from such situation by the quickest and most reasonable means available. Treatment and boarding of the animal shall be at the owner’s expense.
