Whoever is convicted by the Municipal Court of a violation of the criminal provisions of an ordinance for which no punishment is specifically prescribed in the ordinances shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment in jail for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
