141.01 COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENTS, TERM AND COMPENSATION.
   The Planning Commission shall consist of seven members, all of whom shall be residents of the City who shall be qualified by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the City, and shall include representatives of business, industry, labor, government and related industries. Three-fifths of all the members shall have been residents of the City for at least five years prior to their nomination to the Commission. All members shall be nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by Council. One member of the Commission shall also be a member of Council. Any one member shall also be a member of the administrative department of the City. The term of these two members shall be coextensive with the term of office to which such member has been elected or appointed. The remaining members of the Commission shall be appointed for terms of three years and until their successors are appointed and qualified. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired terms only. Members shall serve without compensation except for actual expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties. All members of the Planning Commission serving at the time of the passage of this section shall continue to serve until their respective terms terminate. (Ord. 501. Passed 3-15-21.)
