In issuing a warrant for the arrest of any person for a violation of this code or any other ordinance of the city, it shall not be necessary to make out a separate warrant for every offense charged, but at the discretion of the issuing officer, all the offenses charged may be embraced in the same warrant; provided, that nothing herein contained shall prevent the officer before whom the case is tried from making or allowing any proper amendment to such warrant, or a separation of the charges therein in other amounts if in the discretion of such officer such charge be proper.
