A. City Code: This Code of ordinances of the City of West Liberty shall be treated and considered as a new and comprehensive original ordinance which shall completely supersede all other ordinances passed by the City Council, except those expressly saved from repeal herein as referred to in Section 1-2-1 of this Title. Hereafter, this Code shall be cited and shall be known as the City Code of the City of West Liberty, Iowa. (1975 Code § 1-1-1; amd. 1998 Code)
B. References To Code: Any reference made to the number of any section contained herein shall be understood to refer to the position of the same under its appropriate chapter and title heading, and to the general penalty clause relating thereto, as well as to the section itself, when reference is made to this City Code by title in any legal document.
C. Code On File: An official copy of the Municipal Code as adopted, bearing the signature of the Mayor and certificate of the City Clerk as to its adoption and effective date is on file at the City Hall. (1975 Code § 1-1-1)
