(a) Vacation time-off, with pay, is available to full-time employees to provide opportunities for rest, relaxation and personal pursuits is as follows:

(b) One year of service shall be computed on the basis of twenty-six bi-weekly pay periods. Employees are encouraged to use available paid vacation time for rest, relaxation and personal pursuits. Vacation time earned may not be accrued from year-to-year, time not used by the end of the benefit year shall be considered forfeited by the employee. To confirm the Village Council’s desire that employee utilize vacation time to “refresh themselves” no requests for additional compensation, in lieu of taking vacation shall be honored.
