(a) The terms “yard waste” shall mean grass clippings, weeds and other non-woody vegetation. The term “brush” shall mean sticks, branches and limbs not exceeding 3 inches in diameter, and other woody vegetation.
(b) Yard waste must be placed in containers with a capacity of 5 gallons or less. No more than 7 such containers per week may be placed for pick up.
(c) Brush must be placed in container, with handles, having a capacity of 35 gallons or less. The containers must either be covered with a lid or have holes in the bottom that permit water to drain. No more than 2 such containers per week may be placed for pickup.
(d) Customers shall not place any yard waste or brush in orange West Liberty PAYT bags or in trash cans that are set for pick up as trash.
(e) The Village will not haul yard waste or brush generated by lawn care services, landscapers, tree trimmers, and other similar commercial service providers.
(f) Upon request by a customer to the Village Clerk, the Village will pick up yard waste and brush in excess of the weekly quantity limitations for an additional charge as set by the Village.
