131.01 AUXILIARY POLICE.
   (a)   There is hereby established an Auxiliary Police Unit in the Village under the provisions of Ohio R.C. 737.161.
   (b)   The Mayor shall be the executive head of such unit, shall make all appointments and removals and prescribe such rules and regulations for the organization, administration and control of the unit as may from time to time be necessary.
   (c)   The Chief of Police shall have exclusive control of the stationing and transferring of such unit under such rules and regulations as the Mayor shall make.

   (d)   (1)   The Auxiliary of the West Liberty Police Department be granted a maximum of 20 work hours per week (seven days) and be compensated at the rate of seven dollars ($7.00) per hour, payable from the General Fund every two weeks. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for turning in a signed (by Chief and Officer) pay-sheet every two weeks stating name of the Officer and hours worked, to the Payroll Officer-Village Clerk- Treasurer.
      (2)   All designated officers of the Village of West Liberty Police Auxiliary shall be paid fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each meeting attended. The Chief shall make up the pay schedule each December and present it to the Council for approval and payment. Said pay schedule shall be paid from the General Fund. (Ord. 00-14. Passed 11-27-00.)
