169.01 DIRECTOR APPOINTED; DUTIES.
   The Director of the Community Services Department shall be appointed by the Mayor. Council shall fix the compensation of the Director. The Director shall work forty hours per week at times designated by the Mayor. All time shall be spent at the Community Services Department unless the job requirements require attendance at a place other than the Department. In addition, the Director shall attend, upon the request of the Mayor or the President of Council, meetings such as those of the City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Building and Zoning Appeals, Architectural Standards Board, and meetings or seminars sponsored by State, municipal or Federal organizations, etc.
   The Director of the Community Services Department shall possess a license in social work or counseling. The Director shall supervise and exercise control over all employees of the Department. The Director shall be responsible for the planning, development and supervision of all Department programs, activities and services. The Director shall be responsible for the building and grounds of the Westlake Senior Center at Meadowood.
