§ 35.23 POSTING OF SIGNS.
“No Smoking” signs, or the international “no smoking” symbol (consisting of a pictorial representation of a burning cigarette enclosed in a red circle with a red bar across it), shall be clearly and conspicuously posted in every city park. Notwithstanding this provision, the mere fact that a sign is absent or has been removed once it has been placed as required shall not, standing alone, be a defense to a charge of having violated the conditions and prohibitions of this subchapter.
