Permits to close a street for the purpose of a block party may be issued by the department of public works upon fulfillment of the requirements established by that department. A sufficient number of barricades/cones for such block parties as determined by the department of public works shall be provided upon issuance of the permit and a fifty dollar ($50.00) deposit. The deposit will be refunded to the permittee upon return of the barricades/cones to the department of public works. If the barricades/cones are not returned within seven (7) days, the deposit shall become the property of the village. (1997 Code)
