4-1-21: CHANGE OF LOCATION:
A license issued hereunder shall permit the sale of alcoholic liquor of the type specified only in the premises that are described in the application and license. Where no change in ownership or sale of business is involved, a licensee may apply for a permanent change in location and, if approved by the Corporate Authorities of the Village by the adoption of an ordinance, no additional fees will be required. In the event of a permanent change in location, the approving ordinance shall authorize the issuance of a license for the new address and terminate the license issued relative to the former address. The location of a business operating with a liquor license may be temporarily changed (for 30 days or less) only upon the written authorization permitting such a change issued by the Local Commissioner. Any temporary change in location that will exceed thirty (30) days requires the approval of the Corporate Authorities of the Village by the adoption of an ordinance. No change of location shall be authorized by the Local Commissioner or the Corporate Authorities of the Village, unless the proposed temporary or new permanent location is a proper one for the retail sale of liquor under the Illinois Liquor Control Act, as amended, and the provisions of this chapter and the change in location is determined by the Local Commissioner or the Corporate Authorities to be in the best interest of the Village.
