A. Unless otherwise expressly provided, the Village Clerk shall have the authority to hear and grant applications for all licenses, but no license shall be issued by the Clerk to any applicant unless and until such applicant shall have complied with all provisions of this Code and unless such applicant shall be a suitable and proper person to be licensed. B. Where any license is authorized to be issued, such license shall be signed by the Village President and countersigned by the Village Clerk and the Corporate Seal of the Village affixed thereto. (Ord. 81-1601, 11-17-1981, eff. 1-1-1982; 1997 Code)
C. If, after due consideration of the information contained within the application and related investigative and inspection reports, the Clerk shall determine that the application is satisfactory, he shall approve the application. Thereupon the Village Clerk shall notify the applicant that the application has been approved. The license shall be signed by the President and by the Clerk and then issued to the licensee.
D. If, after due consideration of the information contained within the application and related investigative and inspection reports, the Clerk shall determine that matters concerning the application are unsatisfactory, he shall disapprove the application, indicating the reasons therefor. Thereupon, the Clerk shall notify the applicant that the application has not been approved and that no license or permit will be issued. (Ord. 81-1601, 11-17-1981, eff. 1-1-1982)
