2-1-5: CHAIR; ORGANIZATION; RECORDS; MEETING MINUTES:
A Chair for each advisory board or commission shall be appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees unless otherwise prescribed by statute or this Code. The Chair shall preside at the meetings of the advisory board or commission and shall otherwise supervise the affairs of the board or commission. It shall be the Chair's duty to maintain a written record of the proceedings of the advisory board or commission, which shall at all times be open to inspection by the Board of Trustees, staff, local media and the general public. Each board, committee and commission shall approve minutes of their open meetings within thirty (30) days after that meeting, or at the second subsequent regular meeting thereafter, whichever is later. Any Chair may be removed by the Village President for failure to attend meetings or inattention to duties or by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the members of the Board of Trustees unless otherwise prescribed by statute or this Code.
