Any franchise granted by the Village pursuant to Illinois Compiled Statutes 1 shall grant to the grantee the nonexclusive right and privilege to erect, construct, operate and maintain in, upon, along, across, above, over and under the streets now in existence and as may be created or established during its terms any poles, wires, cable, underground conduits, manholes, and other television conductors and fixtures necessary for the maintenance and operation of a cable system. Any franchise granted hereunder shall have the same or similar terms and conditions, including, but not limited to: a) franchise fees; b) length of franchise term; and c) services, facilities, equipment and support for public, educational and governmental (PEG) access, including channels used for PEG purposes.
