1-1-4: AMENDMENTS:
   A.   Procedure: All amendments shall be by ordinance, adopted by a majority of the corporate authorities then holding office, unless otherwise expressly provided. Any ordinance amending this code shall set forth the title, chapter and section number of the section or sections to be amended, and this shall constitute a sufficient compliance with any statutory requirement pertaining to the amendment or revision by ordinance of any part of this code. All such amendments or revisions by ordinance shall be prepared for insertion in its proper place in each copy of this code by the village clerk. Each such replacement page shall be properly identified and shall be kept in a supplement to be inserted annually into the code.
   B.   Reference To Code: Any additions or amendments to this code, when passed in such form as to indicate the intention of the village president and board of trustees to make the same part of this code, shall be deemed to be incorporated in the ordinance so that a reference to this code shall be understood to include them.
   C.   Recording Amendments:
      1.   It shall be the duty of the village clerk to keep the code up to date by inserting amendments in their proper place upon passage.
      2.   The village clerk shall keep a separate book containing every amendment, repeal or addition passed to this code, with a reference on each copy of such amendments or additions as to the place in the record of ordinances where the original ordinance may be found.
      3.   The above mentioned records shall be kept in addition to the record of ordinances which the clerk is required to keep by statute. (Ord. 89-04, 4-3-1989)
