2. Commercial buildings, multiple apartment buildings, motels and hotels:
 
Fee - 3 percent of actual construction cost to $500,000.00
 
1 1/2 percent of actual construction cost of $500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00
 
1 percent of actual construction cost of $1,000,001.00 on up, with a minimum fee of $150.00
 
Construction cost determined from actual construction contracts and/or established cost per square foot for the Chicago area by construction type published quarterly by BOCA.
3. Remodeling where inspection is required at the discretion of the building commissioner:

         Fee - 3 percent of actual construction cost to $500,000.00.
         11/2 percent of actual construction cost of $500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00.
         1 percent of actual construction cost of $1,000,001.00 on up, with a minimum fee of $150.00.
         Construction cost determined from actual construction contracts and/or established cost per square foot for the Chicago area by construction type published quarterly by BOCA.
         3 percent of actual cost of mechanical work - $150.00 minimum fee.
         Elevator, escalator, dumbwaiters, hoist - $65.00 per inspection.
         A minimum of 1 inspection each 6 months.
   D.   Plumbing Permit Fee: The fee for any such permit and required inspections shall be as follows:
      1.   Residential: Water heater, sewer or water service line, clean out - $50.00.
      2.   Commercial buildings, multiple apartment buildings, motels and hotels:
         Fee - 3 percent of actual construction cost to $500,000.00.
         11/2 percent of actual construction cost of $500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00.
         1 percent of actual construction cost of $1,000,001.00 on up, with a minimum fee of $150.00.
         Construction cost determined from actual construction contracts and/or established cost per square foot for the Chicago area by construction type published quarterly by BOCA.
   E.   Electrical Permit Fee: The fee for any such permit and required inspections shall be as follows:
      1.   Residential: New service, new panel, basement upgrade, and temporary service - $50.00.
      2.   Commercial buildings, multiple apartment buildings, motels and hotels:
         Fee - 3 percent of actual construction cost to $500,000.00.
         11/2 percent of actual construction cost of $500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00.
         1 percent of actual construction cost of $1,000,001.00 on up, with a minimum fee of $150.00
         Construction cost determined from actual construction contracts and/or established cost per square foot for the Chicago area by construction type published quarterly by BOCA.
