Any person, firm, or corporation which performs work for which a permit is required by this chapter without first having secured a permit therefor, and every person, firm, or corporation which violates or assists in the violation of any provision of this chapter shall also be responsible and liable for such violation and subject to the penalty provided by this chapter. Any person who mispresents a material fact in securing a permit under the provisions of this chapter shall be in violation thereof and subject to the penalties provided therefor. ('70 Code, § 903.14)
