(A) There is hereby created the appointment position of City Administrator of the city. The City Administrators shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the majority approval of the City Council. The City Administrator may be dismissed on the sole authority of the Mayor.
(B) The City Administrator shall have the powers and authority extended by KRS 83A.090.
(C) The City Administrative Officer shall have the following duties:
(1) Advise the executive in the formation of policy;
(2) Have major responsibility for the preparation and administration the city budget, under the direction of the executive authority;
(3) Advise the executive on personnel decisions; and
(4) Have continuing direct relationships with city department heads.
